OPTEC Interview with MONEY tv Optec was interviewed this week by Don Baillargeon of MONEY TV (moneytv.net).
Optec's Environmental Director, Jennifer Ferreira, is interviewed in the studio by Don Baillargeon. She discusses how the technology works, the simplicity of installation, and that Optec is a non-intrusive device that is mounted direct to the firewall. Jennifer says, "Optec releases a micro amount of hydrogen to the combustion chamber and what that does is maximizes MPG and minimizes emissions because there is a lot less unburned fuel that is being emitted." She goes on to say, "in that process (Optec) creates a lower combustion temperature so the NOx is unable to form." Typically there is about 30% of unused fuel in the combustion chamber for most vehicles that have not yet installed the Optec technology. This unburned fuel causes a lot of environmental issues. Jennifer went on to say, "We have done several tests on these dirty VW vehicles and all those harmful NOx ratings . . . we have reduced down to zero, along with other harmful emissions. So we feel this is a quick fix but not only that a permanent one (for Volkswagen)." Optec also improves performance as it increases the torque and on diesel it reduces the turbo lag. "This is the fun benefit that Optec offers", Jennifer added. "I added it to my Dodge charger, and because it's a heavy car that initial lag at start up, with Optec, is gone now." IT'S A HOT ROD NOW!
