*Any claims of anti-pollution benefits or any alleged benefits of the Optimized Fuel Technologies OPTEC device is not certified, accredited, approved, or endorsed by the California Air Resources Board.
For California customers- California requires aftermarket parts to be inspected by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to ensure the vehicle will not exceed California emission standards. OPTEC has been tested and issued an executive order for the exemption of select vehicles from the prohibitions in section 27156 of the California Vehicle Code. With the OPTEC device installed, Emission test results met the applicable certification standards set by CARB and examination of the OBD II system showed the OPTEC device does not affect OBD II operation. Therefore, based on the test results, CARB concludes that the OPTEC device meets the criteria for exemption.
To determine if OPTEC is CARB exempt for your vehicle, please see executive order D-792-1 in the following link or contact your OPTEC provider for assistance.
